Navy chief returns home from Malaysia

Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury returned home on Monday after attending the “Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA)-2019” at Malaysia.

Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (operation) Rear Admiral M Makbul Hossain and Naval Administrative Authority Dhaka Commodore M Musa welcomed Aurangzeb Chowdhury at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital.

During his visit, the Navy Chief paid a courtesy call on the visiting United States Pacific Fleet commander and the naval chiefs of Malaysia and Sri Lanka.

Besides, Aurangzeb also exchanged views with the naval and army officials of different countries participating in the exhibition.

During his visit, the navy chief participated in the Fleet Review of the “Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA)-2019”. Later, he attended the “International Maritime Culture Conference’.

Naval ships, warships and military personnel from different countries of the world including Bangladesh participated in the exhibition. Navy Chief left Dhaka on March 26 to join the event.
