Bangladesh Heritage Crafts Foundation is organising their first heritage crafts exhibition on October 5 and October 6 at House 1B, Road 71 in the capital’s Gulshan-2 area.

This was disclosed at a press conference held at the Baridhara Diplomatic Club on   Sunday.

Parliament Members Mainuddin Khan Badal and Nahim Razzak, wife of the Brazilian Ambassador to Bangladesh Sandra Esteves Tabajara, BHCF President Tootli Rahman among others were present on the occasion.

BHCF is a unique, non profit foundation to resort, revive and boost the hundreds of years of old heritage and priced possessions in cottage industries/ crafts of Bangladesh.

This foundation will facilitate, help income generate, support and engage a large number of highly skilled, yet nearly extinct craftsmen all around Bangladesh.

The aim of BHCF is to showcase our rich culture and to provide a platform for other countries to share their own diverse cultures with us.

Items on display will range from deshi textiles like Dhakai Jamdani, Rajshahi silks and muslins to household items made from Shitol-Pati and traditional items that are quintessentially Bangladeshi.

There will be items from most regions of Bangladesh under one roof.

The exhibition is open for all from 11am to 8 pm.
