Ride sharing app service Pathao on Tuesday announced introduction of insurance services for both its users and riders Under the service, Pathao users can get four overages -- Accidental Death Benefit, Accidental Permanent Total Disability, Accidental Hospitalization and Natural Death Benefit.

Pathao Bangladesh and Dotline Bangladesh signed an agreement in this regard at Pathao head office at Gulshan in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Pathao Chief Executive Hussain M Elius and Dotline Bangladesh Chief Executive Hasan Mehdi signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Later, they briefed the journalist at a press conference.

Under this agreement, both the users and riders can claim insurance compensation ranges from Tk 25,000 to Tk 100,000.

“At Pathao, our priority is to provide a reliable and safe service for everyone who uses our platform. We are working hard in moving Bangladesh everydat,” said Pathao Chief Executive Hussain M Elius.

Dotline Bangladesh Chief Executive Hasan Mehdi said Carnival Assure created a unique customize insurance plan to benefit all users of the Pathao ecosystem.

Pathao Vice President Kishwar Hashemee and Chief Technology Officier Shifat Adnan were also present on the occasion.

Pathao started their journey as a delivery service back in 2015 with own fleet of motorcycles and cycles.
