About 40 Bangladeshi companies are going to showcase their products at the leading global consumer goods show Ambiente 2019, to be held in Frankfurt, Germany.
More than 4300 exhibitors from 88 countries are expected to present trends and innovations for the coming business season in the trade fair, set to begin on February 8 in the next year and the event will continue until February 12.Messe Frankfurt is the organiser of this global trade show.
Messe Frankfurt Group Board Member and Senior Vice President Consumer Goods Stephan Kurzawski made announcement at a press conference at a city hotel on Tuesday.
Omer Salahuddin, Messe Frankfurt Country Director for Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Bhutan, Maldives and Sri Lanka spoke at the event. Director Marketing Communications Erdmann Kilian, Messe Frankfurt Director Communications Nazneen Salahuddin and Head of Operations in Bangladesh Rumanna Afroze were also present at the press conference.
Stephan Kurzawski said, Messe Frankfurt is one of the most international fairs in the world, while Bangladeshi Entrepreneurs have an old history with over 25 years of participation at the trade fair.
He said that Ambiente is held every year in Frankfurt, Germany in February and deals with consumer items and where business and creativity come together.
The fair is divided into areas of Living, Giving, Dining which offers visitors a clear guide on the products available as there are 4376 exhibitors from 88 countries present at the fair.Dining- A unique product range for dining, cooking, ceramic, glasses –with 2,200 exhibitors
Giving- Handicrafts, jute items, stationery, ornaments, and home decorating, fine and costume jewellery as well as personal accessories and leather ware with 1000 exhibitors.
Living- International ideas for the home, avant-garde design, home accessories, items in all styles as well as decorative items for both indoors and outdoors with 1200 exhibitors.
With more than 130,000 trade visitors from 167 countries the entire world is present at the fair with the top 10 visitor nations after Germany being Italy, China, France, United Kingdom, United States, Netherlands, Spain, Turkey, South Korea and Switzerland. This is a unique chance to interact with the entire world in one location.
Omer Salahuddin said a large number of Bangladeshi manufacturers and buyers look and visit at Ambiente for the growth of their business.
The visitors number may increased to be double from Bangladesh in the upcoming fair, he hoped.
Bangladesh is very rich in handicrafts, ceramics and other decorative items, Omer added.
The jute and ceramic industry in particular had a very positive response at previous editions of the fair.
32 exhibitors from Bangladesh showcased their products at the last fair –some of them participated under the pavilion of Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).
