Sabbir slapped with six-month int’l ban

Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) disciplinary committee has recommended a six-month international ban for batsman Sabbir Rahman for abusing a fan on social media.

The disciplinary committee recommendation will need BCB President Nazmul Hassan Papon’s approval, a formality to execute the ban.

The information was provided by BCB’s disciplinary committee on Saturday afternoon. If BCB boss gives consent over the Sabbir’s ban then it will be effective from today.

Meanwhile, another player of the national team Mosaddek Hossain Saikat has been warned for disciplinary reasons. On the other hand, all-rounder Nasir Hossain, who has been accused by several women of illicit affairs in the social media platforms, could not take part in hearing due to his surgery issues.
