Lt Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Ltd’s 3-day long selection camp for unearthing talented under-18 footballers completed amid festive mood in the capital on Thursday.
A total of 30 young footballers received the most desired ‘Yes Card’ on Thursday’s selection camp. On Wednesday, a total of 42 youngsters were selected. Earlier on Tuesday, around 62 young booters got yes cards.
Sk Jamal picked up 134 booters from 3-day long selection camp, who will be part of a long-term football camp. Finally they will select around 40-50 young footballers among 134 to form their squad for the upcoming age-division tournament.
A huge number of young footballers took part in the Thursday’s trial session and showed their skills by playing matches among themselves.
As Bangladesh Football Federation has formulated a new law stating that every professional club needs to participate in the upcoming under-18 football league, Sheikh Jamal are also taking initiatives to rally young footballers in their camp to form their squad for the upcoming age-division tournament.
