RANGPUR: Bangladesh has become a role model for development of women and their empowerment following adoption of various positive and visionary programmes by the present government during the past nine years, reports BSS.
“Laudable development has taken place in every sector improving life standard of the common people following successful implementation of the programmes,” said Member of the Parliament (MP) from reserved constituency Advocate Hosne Ara Lutfa Dalia.The lawmaker was addressing a women rally held at Chandanpat High School ground under Sadar upazila on Sunday afternoon as the chief guest.
The District Information Office organised the rally to inform the people about successes of the government and future development plans, Prime Minister’s 10 special initiatives, preventing militancy, terrorism and drug abuse.
With Senior District Information Officer Humayun Kobir in the chair, Sadar Upazila Chairman Nasima Zaman Boby, Chandanpat Union Chairman Aminur Rahman, Chairman of the School Governing Body Mubarak Ali and Headmaster of Chandanpat High School Rafikul Islam addressed the rally as special guests.
Moderated by educationist Professor Md Shah Alam, over 500 secondary level female students, their mothers and women community leaders participated in the rally.
Humayun Kobir discussed about tremendous successes achieved by the present government in education, health, women development, agriculture, poverty alleviation, digitisation, power generation and other sectors and future development plans.
He narrated about progress of implementation of the ten special initiatives of the Prime Minister and successes achieved in preventing child marriage, ensuring health services, sanitation, breast feeding and vaccination of babies and hygiene of adolescents.
