PGCB declares 15pc cash dividend

Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) has announced to provide 15 percent cash dividend to its shareholders.

This decision will be placed for approval at the 22nd annual general meeting (AGM) of the company scheduled for January 6 at the Mukti Hall of the Biduyt Bhaban in the city, said a PGCB press release on Wednesday.

It informed that the company has made a profit of Tk 199.56 crore in the fiscal year 2016-17 after payment of tax. In the last fiscal year 2015-16, the PGCB-shareholders were provided 12 percent cash dividend. PGCB, a state-owned company responsible for operation and maintenance of the country's high voltage power grid system, has been a listed company with the two bourses of the country-Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE).
