Sujon regains consciousness

Bangladesh National Cricket Team former skipper Khaled Mahmud Sujon has regained consciousness after being in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Singapore on Wednesday.

His medical situation improved drastically over the course of Wednesday.  Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) media manager Rabid Imam told the media that BCB Physician Dr Monirul Amin who is accompanying Sujon, has informed him that Sujon has regained consciousness on Wednesday morning.

Sujon is admitted in Gleneagles Hospital in Singapore for further treatment following primary medical procedures in the country.

Food intake facilitator is no longer needed for Sujon as he can process food through his mouth again. He is also starting recognise close acquaintances.

Rabid Imam earlier stated that Sujon’s condition was stable and his treatment process will be supervised by specialist doctors.

Sujon who is the current Game Development Committee Chairman of BCB suffered a stroke on Sunday. He was immediately admitted to United Hospital in the capital. His health deteriorated significantly on that night and he had to be taken to ICU.

Though his condition improved on Monday, it was decided to send him to Singapore for better treatment.

Khaled Mahmud Sujon has been suffering from High Blood Pressure for a while. He recently played in Master’s Cricket Carnival 2017. After returning from the tournament he fells illness. He also could not attend board meeting of BCB which took place on that Sunday. He had to be admitted to hospital as his situation worsened.
