Cricket says Merry Christmas

Cricketers, on Christmas Day, have taken to their social media handles to convey their best wishes to followers. Many cricketers conveyed their best wishes through Twitter, while some posted pictures on Instagram and Facebook. It’s a good gesture by cricketers.

Cricket will witness a lot of action post-Christmas as the schedule is packed with games between different countries. Cricketers such as VVS Laxman, Virender  Sehwag, Michael Vaughan, Glenn Maxwell and many more tweeted good wishes on Twitter. VVS Laxman wrote, “The gift of love.  The gift of peace.  The gift of happiness.  May all these be yours at Christmas. MERRY CHRISTMAS”.

  Shaun Pollock tweeted, “Merry Christmas everyone,hope you have a Very special day- Remember the reason for the season,The Birth of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ!”

Virender Sehwag posted a hilarious picture of him as a Santa Claus and wrote, “Merry Christmas,Teri Christmas ,Sabki Christmas !”

Australia captain Steven Smith tweeted, “Merry Xmas to everyone. I hope you all have a fabulous day.”

David Warner posted several photos with his family and tweeted, “Merry Christmas everyone!! Finally Santa stopped at our place while we were sleeping woohooo. I wish for everyone to have a great day today. Blessed to have my family with me today.”

The Australia Test squad have taken time out of their preparation for the Boxing Day Test to celebrate Christmas in Melbourne.

Australia vice-captain David Warner, wicketkeeper Matthew Wade and spinner Nathan Lyon welcomed their children into the MCG nets during training, before the tradition team Christmas lunch.         —Internet
