BGB man killed in city road crash

A member of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) was killed after being hit by a garbage truck of Dhaka North City Corporation near Shishu Mela in Shyamoli area of the city on Friday Morning, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Abu Taher, 28, a BGB nayek and son of Abdul Barek, hailing from Saturia upazila in Manikganj district.
Md Iqbal Hossain, sub-inspector of Mohammadpur Police Station, said the accident took place when the vehicle hit him as he was crossing the road adjacent to Shishu Mela in the area around 9.15, leaving him dead on the spot.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy.
