Trader’s slaughtered body recovered in Barisal

BARISAL: Police recovered a slaughtered body of a businessman from Krishnakathi village under Vorpasha union of Bakerganj upazila in the district on Friday.
Harunur Rashid, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Bakerganj Police Station, said the deceased was identified as Shamim Khan, 31, a cosmetics shop owner and son of Hamid Khan of the village.
Local people noticed the slaughtered body of Shamim near Talukdar’s fish farm in the morning and informed police, said the SI.
Being informed, police rushed to the spot, recovered the dead body and sent it to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital morgue, said SI Harun.
No case was lodged yet in this connection.
Local sources said Shamim was missing and his mobile phone found switched off since 8:00pm on Thursday.
