Singer-actor SI Tutul has paired up with his wife Tania Ahmed in an Eid telefilm. Titled Ei Haat Chhuyechhe Tomay, the duo recently stood before camera for the telefilm scripted by SI Tutul and directed by Arif Khan at a shooting location at Uttara in the city.
“I have worked with my husband after seven years,” Tania said. The telefilm is expected to be aired on SA TV on Eid day.
Saidul Islam Tutul, commonly known as SI Tutul, is a musician. He is the lead guitarist of music band Dhrubotara.
Tutul is the founder member of music band LRB. He later founded music band Face to Face which was later renamed as Dhrubotara in 2005.
Noted filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki offered Tutul to work in Bachelor, a Bangla feature film, which was a huge success. The movie won several awards all over the world, specially the song Keu Prem Kore was a hit in Bangladesh, which was tuned, composed and sang by him.
Renowned singers Samina Chowdhury and Asif Akbar won national awards for the song Amar Majhe Nei Ekhon Ami tuned and composed by Tutul.
Tutul is the only musician from band music who won the highest awards both nationally and internationally.
Tutul won Bangladesh National Film Award as the best music director for Daruchini Dwip in 2007, and as the best playback singer in 2010.
He won an international award as a music director for film Nirontor from International Film Festival in Chennai in 2006.
