Indira Gandhi Culture Centre organised an Evening of Recitation and Talk by Dr Ranjit Biswas, former senior secretary, Government of Bangladesh, on its Gulshan premises at 6.30pm on Saturday.
Ranjit recited poems like Dhormomoho, Shodh, Banshi, and Swapno, of Rabindranath Tagore and Poder Disha, Kandari Hushiar, Samyobadi, Manush, and Paap of Kazi Nazrul Islam at the event.
Dr Ranjit Biswas is an ardent lover of art and culture. Prior to joining Civil Service in 1981 he was a working journalist.
A short story writer, columnist, satirist and a cricket analyst of countrywide repute, he contributes to national and regional dailies.
Dr Biswas is a good connoisseur of music and recitation. He earned appreciations, laurels and scores of awards for literary acumen and attributes.
He has got a US-University PhD, an MBA and National Defence College Graduation. Under the Pen-name RANAJIT BISWAS he has 25 books to his credit.
