Dr Mohammad Sadik has been appointed as the chairman of Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC).
The Public Administration Ministry has issued gazette notification in this regard on Monday.
It said that President Abdul Hamid has appointed Mohammad Sadik as the chairman of BPSC as per article 138 (1) of the constitution.
Sadik is now performing duties as the member of BPSC and his appointment in the new post will come into effect after resignation from the existing post.
Among other important posts, he also performed duties as secretary at Education Ministry.
Sadik will take office as the successor of previous BPSC Chairman Ikram Ahmed, who has completed his tenure on April 13.
