Hosts Chittagong district made a flying start in Chittagong Divisional phase of the 36th National Cricket Championship beating Bandarban district by eight wickets at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Saturday.
Bandarban batted first after winning the toss and were bundled out for 95 runs in 32.5 overs in a 50-over-a-side match.
In reply, Chittagong district easily achieved their target scoring 97 runs for 2 in just 14 overs.
One down Armanullah scored an unbeaten 44 runs off 50 balls, hitting eight fours and one six while opener Kapiluddin made 29-ball 36 runs with four fours and one six.
