Bangladesh National Women’s Cricket Team skipper Jahanara Alam spent time with some underprivileged children at a function arranged by Industrial Promotion and Development Company of Bangladesh (IPDC) on the occasion of Pahela Baishakh.
The function was held at the Uttara Ladies Club in the capital on Saturday. Jahanara shared some joyful moments with the children and gave an inspirational speech for the underprivileged children of the society.
The program also featured a cultural program where famous singer and actor Agun performed.
The children celebrated the Bangla New Year by participating in different cultural activities. The venue was decorated under the Baishakh theme and traditional foods were served to the children.
There was a range of activities for children where they were kept busy with face painting, clowns, magic show, puppet show and musical show. Children were received with traditional gifts. There was an open floor for the children to perform as well.
Managing Director and CEO of IPDC Mominul Islam and other senior officials of IPDC were present at the function.
