Aussie women’s Taj Mahal trip before semi

The Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars are hoping a minor bingle is the only hiccup remaining in their World T20 campaign, as they prepare for their semi-final showdown with England.
A contingent of Southern Stars made the most of rare day off on Sunday, embarking on a 12-hour return journey to Agra to visit the Taj Mahal.
However it wasn’t all smooth sailing for Australia on the trip south, with the squad delayed by 40 minutes after their team bus rear-ended their police escort.
“It was a few laughs and only in India,” leg-spinner Kristen Beams said.
“The Taj Mahal was incredible, I was here six years ago with my club side and I never thought I’d be back here for a World Cup.”
It will be back to business today for the Southern Stars, with two tough days of training ahead of them in Delhi before they meet old foes England at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium on Wednesdayk (8pm AEDT).
“It’s a really good feeling to make the semi-final after the disappointment of dropping that game against New Zealand,” she said.
