Country’s electronics giant Walton has taken a number of protective measures against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) transmission.
The protective measures are included: taking necessary initiatives for personnel’s health safety, supplying Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the health workers through various public and private organisations, distributing foods among destitute, conducting awareness and sanitization campaigns at around 20,000 points at a time across the country, said a press release.
To deliver PPE to the government hospitals, a team of Walton representatives met with the authorities concerned of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) recently.
The meeting was attended, among others, by DGHS’s Additional Director General Prof. Sanya Tahmina and Deputy Program Manager (Medical Biotechnology) Dr. Md. Marufur Rahman, Walton’s Executive Director and Refrigerator Department’s Chief Executive Officer Engineer Golam Murshed and the company’s Head of Medical Officer Dr. Iajdan Reja Chowdhury.
