HONOR, the global technology brand originating from China, has completed two years of operations in Bangladesh.
In this short span, the company has moved beyond selling smartphones, tablets, and ac-cessories to making tangible contributions to the country’s economy, digital ecosystem, and workforce development.
Since its entry into Bangladesh, HONOR has established a nationwide network of distribu-tors, retailers, and service centres, creating more than 500 jobs in sales, logistics, tech-nical support, and after-sales services. With growing consumer demand, the company ex-pects this number to exceed 1,000 by 2025.
HONOR’s operations extend beyond device sales. By investing in local marketing, logistics, and after-sales services, the company has stimulated growth across related sectors.

The brand has also brought in capital, technology, and global expertise, and is now active-ly exploring the establishment of a local factory in partnership with Bangladeshi busi-nesses – a step that could attract foreign investment, localise supply chains, and create large-scale employment opportunities.
As artificial intelligence and other cutting-edge tools transform the way people study, work, and communicate, HONOR has adapted its products to meet these new demands.
Its devices are designed to support students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and digital creators through features that enhance education, remote work, and creative connectivi-ty.

Future product launches will be tailored specifically for Bangladeshi users, with features such as extended battery life, improved camera performance, and designs suited to local preferences. Crucially, the pricing strategy will reflect local income levels to ensure af-fordability.
HONOR’s presence is also strengthening Bangladesh’s broader digital ecosystem. Through campaigns and collaborations with universities, content creators, and other stakeholders, the company promotes digital literacy and helps develop the ICT workforce.
As online shopping grows rapidly in Bangladesh, HONOR is reinforcing partnerships in e-commerce and logistics. The company believes expanding retail outlets, service centres, and partner networks will stimulate further economic activity while improving customer support.
Bangladesh’s macroeconomic growth – driven by garment exports, remittance flows, and an expanding digital sector – has made the country an attractive destination for global investment.
With internet penetration and e-commerce adoption rising sharply, HONOR sees oppor-tunities to empower both urban and rural communities with affordable, advanced tech-nologies.
The company expects the next five years to bring significant expansion in internet access, deeper e-commerce ecosystems, improved logistics and payment systems, and greater technology adoption across the population.
HONOR’s strategy is to align its growth with these trends by delivering devices and ser-vices that support education, entrepreneurship, creativity, and daily communication.
China has long been a strong development partner of Bangladesh, particularly in infra-structure and industrial investment. HONOR views its role within this partnership not on-ly as a technology provider but also as a driver of innovation, design, and localised solu-tions for the Bangladeshi market.
In just two years, HONOR has demonstrated ambitions that go beyond short-term com-mercial interests. From job creation and ecosystem building to introducing global tech-nology trends in affordable ways, the company regards Bangladesh not just as a market but as a partner in digital transformation.
Despite challenges, HONOR’s commitment to innovation, service, and local investment is already delivering results. The global technology brand remains focused on expanding its footprint in Bangladesh, supporting sustainable development, and bringing next-generation technology within reach of the country’s growing population.
