Myanmar, Russia conduct joint military drill

A joint military exercise between Myanmar and Russia codenamed "Tropical Storm" is being held in Naypyidaw from 6 to 17 July.

The drill reportedly covers counter-drone combat operations, jungle warfare, and modern warfare strategies.

A diplomatic supporter of Myanmar regime, the Kremlin is also a major arms supplier and has signed a number of bilateral agreements on military cooperation with Naypyidaw.
