What did Trump mean by sharing image of himself carrying the world?

US President Donald Trump has sparked fresh debate after sharing a symbolic AI-generated image of himself carrying the entire world on his shoulders.

The post, shared on his social media platform Truth Social following recent US military strikes in Iran, has triggered widespread speculation over its intended message.

The AI-generated image, posted on Saturday (27 June), depicts Trump draped in the American flag while lifting the globe above his shoulders with both hands. He did not include any caption or explanation with the post.

The image portrays Trump in the role of Atlas, the mythological Titan condemned to bear the weight of the world for eternity. The symbolism has led to speculation that Trump may be comparing himself to Atlas, suggesting that he sees himself as carrying the burden of today's global challenges alone.

According to a report by The Independent, Trump shared the image a day after US forces carried out strikes on Iranian drone storage facilities.

This is not the first time Trump has shared a symbolic AI-generated image. Earlier this year, he posted another AI-generated image showing himself dressed as a priest and appearing to heal a sick person. At the time, some critics and even some supporters compared the image to depictions of Jesus Christ.

Trump later said that image was meant to portray him as a healer or doctor working for the benefit of the people, rejecting claims that it was intended as a religious comparison.
