Bangladesh are enjoying a dominant spell in Darwin, piling pressure on Australia.

The visitors are now on the verge of taking a 200-run lead, with Mehedi Hasan Miraz leading the charge. He has guided Bangladesh past the 200-run mark alongside the lower-order batters and has also completed his half-century.

Miraz is currently unbeaten on 51, with Taskin Ahmed on 6 at the other end. Bangladesh had resumed the third day at 351-6.

The overnight partnership between Miraz and Hasan Mahmud was broken quickly. Hasan was dismissed after Bangladesh added just three runs to their overnight total. However, before being trapped lbw for 14 by Josh Hazlewood, the pacer frustrated Australia for 92 balls. His dismissal ended a 46-run partnership with Miraz from 170 balls.

Taijul Islam, batting as the nightwatchman, also departed quickly but made a valuable 17.

Miraz has now been joined by Taskin, with their partnership worth 24 runs. At the time of filing, Bangladesh were 398-8.
