TRESemme is going to revolutionize the Bangladesh fashion scene by launching the biggest fashion event of the country “TRESemme Bangladesh Fashion Week 2019.” It is partnering with Fashion Design Council of Bangladesh (FDCB), a non-profit organization that aims to promote Bangladeshi culture and fashion internationally by creating a market for our “deshi” products. 19 local and 11 foreign designers will showcase their work in the fashion week over three consecutive days.
On the first day Paromita Banerjee from India, Aishath Shamla from Maldives, Anu Shreshta from Nepal, Humaira Khan, Sarah Karim, Sadiya Mishu and Lipi Khandker from Bangladesh will join the event. On the second day, Shahrukh Amin, Farah Anjum Bari, Shaibal Saha, Afsana Ferdausi, et al from Bangladesh, Swati Kalsi from India, Kencho Wangmo from Bhutan and Sukajit Daengchai from Thailand will showcase their works. On the last day, Edric Ong from Malaysia, Kuhu, Emdad Haque, Chondona Dewan and Maheen Khan from Bangladesh, Faiza Samee from Pakistan and Kanchana Thalpawila from Sri Lanka will participate in the event. TRESemme will also work closely with top hair stylists in the country to set the hairstyling trend of the year.A press conference in this regard was arranged on February 16, 2019 at Le Meridien Hotel. Nafees Anwar, Beauty and Personal Care Director of Unilever Bangladesh, announced the details of the event. Maheen Khan, President of FDCB, also spoke at the press conference.
TRESemme aims to set a permanent fashion fixture in Bangladesh’s cultural calendar and influence the fashion revolution with this event. The fashion week will take place from February 23-25 at Hall-1 of the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB). Le Meridien Dhaka is the Hospitality Partner of this event.
