Two domestic helps who remained missing since recovery of the body of ex-principal of Eden College Mahfuza Chowdhury Parveen at her city residence on Sunday, have been sued.
Victim’s husband, Ismat Quadir Gama, a former BCL leader and vice-chairman of the Freedom Fighters Council, filed the case with New Market Police Station on Monday, said DMP Ramna Division Deputy Commissioner Maruf Hossain Sardar.The domestic workers against whom the case was filed are Reshma and Swapna. They went missing from the victim’s flat at Sukonya Towers on Elephant Road.
“Another domestic worker named Runu was also working at the home,” the police official said.
“She is also a suspect although her name was not included in the case.”
“Law enforcers are trying to arrest Reshma and Swapna,” he said.
The police official said it is not yet clear what the perpetrators robbed from the flat. Mahfuza Chowdhury Parveen was found dead at her flat in Sukonya Tower in Science Laboratory area of the capital city on Sunday night.
Hailed from Gopalganj district, Mahfuza served as the principal of Eden College from February, 2009 to April, 2001.
