A national-level talent contest for children titled ‘National Children's Award Competition 2019’ begins around the country today.
Organised by Bangladesh Shishu Academy, the event aims at flourishing the inner potential of children and protecting their rights.The thana and upazila level contests will take place from January 19 to 21, district level from January 23 to 25 and division level from January 28 to 30.
Children from around the country will participate in the competition who will be categorized into three groups namely ‘Ka’ (from class 1 to 4), ‘Kha’ (from class 5 to 7), and ‘Ga’ (from class 8 to 10).
It is mentionable that every year the event awards children in different disciplines including sports, creative dance, songs, acting, clay art, Haamd, Naat, poetry recitation, Qirat, Chhara Gaan, storytelling, painting, dance etc.
Last year, total 61688 children from across the country took part in the contest. Bangladesh Shishu Academy director informed that this year the event has added a new award called ‘Sherader Shera’ or ‘the best among the bests’ award.
The participant who will be able to win the first place in three subjects will receive the awarded.
