Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun on Thursday said that country’s RMG sector have achieved a strong position in the international market.
“The RMG sector had managed to give a lot of employment in the past. In future this industry will also contribute a lot to solve the unemployment problem,” he added.The industries minister said while inaugurating a four-day long 4 international sourcing trade shows on RMG industry at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital on Thursday.
About 510 companies from more than 24 countries took part in the expo.
Mohammad Moazzem Hossain Moti, Chairman, Standing Committee on trade fair BGAPMEA, Abdul Kader Khan, President, BGAPMEA, Md. Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin, President, FBCCI, KH Latifur Rahman Azim, 1st vice president, BGAPMEA, Tipu Sultan Bhuiyan, CEO, Zakaria Trade and Fair International and Nandagopal K Director ASK Trade and Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, were present at the inauguration ceremony.
About 510 exhibitors from Bangladesh, China, India, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Italy, Singapore, Japan, Germany, USA, UK, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Malaysia, Switzerland, Canada, Sweden, Finland, Spain, Thailand, France, and Colombia took part in the tradeshow to showcase the technology solutions related to productivity, safety, compliance, efficiency, value addition, product diversification and fabric sourcing for the RMG sector.

The 2nd edition of Bangladesh Printing and Packaging International Expo 2019 - the international printing, packaging machinery and allied products tradeshow is exhibiting machinery and technology related to printing and packaging from leading international companies.
