AIUB holds confce on robotics

Vice Chancellor of American International University-Bangladesh Dr Carmen Z Lamagna along with researchers and students poses for a photo at a three-day conference on ‘Robotics, Electrical and Signal Processing Techniques 2019’ concluded on its campus on Saturday.

A three-day first International Conference on Robotics, Electrical and Signal Processing Techniques 2019’ (ICREST) was held on the campus of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) in the capital on Saturday.

Department of Computer Engineering (CoE) and Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of the university organised the event.

Nearly 500 researchers from 13 countries including Bangladesh presented 134 papers on power, renewable energy, nanotechnology and telemedicine at the conference.

Chairman of University Grants Commission Prof Abdul Mannan was present on the second day of the conference on Friday.

Vice Chancellor of AIUB Dr Carmen Z Lamagna, former director of NASA Software Engineering Lab Mike Hinchey, president of the College of New Caledonia of Canada Prof Dr Henry Reiser, and VC of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology Prof Dr AMM Safiullah were present, among others, at the conference.
