Undergraduate Math Olympiad held at BUET

The final phase of the 10th National Undergraduate Mathematics Olympiad 2018 (NUMO) was held at Bangladesh University of Engineering Technology (BUET) on Saturday.

Prof Dr Md Rafique Ullah, Dean of Engineering faculty of BUET, inaugurated the event as the chief guest and handed over certificates, crests and cash prizes among the winners. The written test of the Olympiad was held from 10.30am to 12.00pm at central auditorium of BUET.

Among the 80 participants from of eight divisions, the 10 students became top winners for their outstanding performance in mathematics. 

 

Aga Khan School distributes certificates among CPE graduates

The Aga Khan School, Dhaka on Saturday distributed certificates among the teachers, marking the conclusion of a six-month Continuing Professional Education (CPE) certification programme focusing on “Becoming a Reflective Teacher”.

The programme, held at the Ismaili Jamatkhana and Centre, was conducted in collaboration with the Institute for Educational Development (IED) of the Aga Khan University, reports UNB.

Teachers from other schools attended the programme that aimed at enhancing the pedagogical knowledge and skills of participants and equip them with strategies and tools to provide a more conducive learning environment for their students.

 

Kajal elected president of Dhanmondi Club Ltd

Mosharraf Hossain Kajal, Advocate, Bangladesh Supreme Court, has been elected as president of Dhanmondi Club Limited for the year of 2018-19.

Besides, a 10-member executive committee was formed after annual general meeting of the club on Friday, says a press release.

The other members are – Shahed Abdul Khalek, Eng Hasan Mahmud Babu, Md Azizur Haque (Ratan), Zakir Hossain Swapan, Bidyut Kumar Vowmik, Haji Eliasur Rahman Babul, Didarul Alam Chowdhury, Md Waliullah Bakul, Samrat Sarker and Dr Mohammad Osman Gani.
