Bangladesh Under-23 cricket team are all set to take part the forthcoming Asia Emerging Asia Cup scheduled in Pakistan in January 2019, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nizamuddin Chowdhury confirmed on Monday at BCB Corporate office in Mirpur.

“Bangladesh team will take part the Emerging Asia Cup. Both Pakistan and Sri Lanka Emerging Cup will host the next Asia Emerging Cup. Our first round matches were drawn in Pakistan. Our team is preparing for Emerging. Bangladesh are expected to leave for Pakistan in January first week,” Nizamuddin Chowdhury said.

Earlier in September 2015, Bangladesh women’s cricket became the first women’s cricket team to play in Pakistan since 2006.

Bangladesh’s CEO also said they are talking to get the confirmation from Government to send Under-23 cricket team to Pakistan.

Since armed militants attacked the Sri Lanka team bus in Lahore in 2009 most of the cricket countries reject travelling to Pakistan.
