A joint team of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) on Wednesday seized illegally imported food products following a raid conducted at a business establishment-Route to Market International-in Tejgaon area of the capital.

During the drive, the team seized the food products belonging to Route to Market International from three trucks.

The anti-graft body conducted the drive after receiving an allegation through its hotline 106 that Route to Market International amassed huge money doing illegal business.

It has been alleged that Route to Market International is importing and marketing food products illegally in collusion with a section of unscrupulous BSTI officials.

Following the allegation, a six-member team led by ACC assistant director Selina Akhtar Moni conducted the raid with the help of four BSTI officials.

During the drive, the officials seized the three trucks of illegally imported food products, including milk powder and juice. Later, the seized goods were handed over to  DMP.
