Six arrested for using devices in DU entry test

Dhaka University (DU) caught five admission seekers and a guardian on charges of using electronic devices during the entrance test of ‘Ka’ unit on Friday morning.

Proctor Prof AKM Golam Rabbani said, “We have held five students and a guardian from different exam centers on charges of using electronic devices.”

The first-year honours admission test of ‘Ka’ unit for the 2018-19 academic session was held from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at 84 centres inside and outside the campus simultaneously where a total of 81,096 candidates applied while only 1750 will be able to enroll at the institution.

Vice-chancellor Md Akhtaruzzaman, pro-vice-chancellor (administration) Muhammad Samad, treasurer Md Kamal Uddin and  proctor AKM Golam Rabbani visited different examination centres of Curzon Hall of the university.
