National booters report to camp

Hosts Bangladesh have been pitted in Group B with Philippine and Laos while defending champions Nepal, Palestine and Tajikistan form Group A of Bangabandhu Gold Cup International Football Tournament.

A 31-man preliminary squad has been announced by Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) ahead of the competition. The players reported to national team manager Satyajit Das Rupu for the residential training camp on Thursday at Hotel La Vinci at Karwan Bazar in the city.

The six-nation Bangabandhu Gold Cup will take place from October 1 to 12 at Dhaka’s Bangabandhu National Stadium, Sylhet District Stadium and Bir Shreshtha Ruhul Amin Stadium in Cox’s Bazar.

Bangladesh preliminary squad: Goalkeepers- Ashraful Islam Rana, Anisur Rahman, Rasel Mahmud, Mahfuz Hasan Pritom; defenders- Bishwanath Ghosh, Md Tutul Hosain Badsha, Topu Barman, Md Waly Faisal, Sushanto Thipura, M Rahmat Mia, Mohammad Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, Yeasin Khan And Ariful Islam; midfielders- Mamunul Islam Mamun, Mohammad Atiqur Rahman Fahad, Jamal Bhuyan, Masuk Miah Zoni, Biplob Ahamed, M Emon Mahmud; wingers- Mohammad Rabiul Hasan, Jafar Iqbal, Saad Uddin, Sohel Rana, Faisal Mahmood And Mohammad Ibrahi; forwards- Mahbubur Rahman, Mohammed Shakawat Hossain Rony, Mohammad Nabib Newaz Zibon, Tawhidul Alam Sabuz, Matin Miah And Mohammad Jabed Khan.
