Awami League (AL) publicity and publication affairs secretary Hasan Mahmud said that BNP will not gain any benefit from lobbying foreign forces, as the government will adhere to the Constitution.
“BNP will not benefit from lobbying the United Nations, the United States of America, Brussels and London, as the government will not go beyond the Constitution,” he said. Hasan, also the former forest minister, came up with the statements at a discussion at the party headquarters on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on Tuesday.The AL leader said the incumbent prime minister will be in charge of the election-time government.
“Polls-time government will carry out regular duties while the Election Commission will conduct elections,” he said.
Hasan alleged that many grassroots BNP leaders come from Muslim League families.
