After a week-long fitness and fielding training, Bangladesh’s Asia Cup squad started their skill training ahead of their forthcoming Asia Cup campaign.
Bangladeshi cricketers had their batting and bowling practice in two sessions. As a boost to Tigers’ morale, spin coach Sunil Joshi joined camp on Sunday.Batting coach Neil McKenzie also arrived in Dhaka. Pace bowling coach Courtney Walsh is scheduled to land in Bangladesh today.
Fielding coach Ryan Cook will arrive in Dhaka on Tuesday. He is expected to join the camp on Wednesday.
Tigers started their Asia Cup practice camp on August 27 under the supervision of head coach Steve Rhodes, trainer Mario Villavarayan and Bangladesh Cricket Board’s fielding coach Sohel Islam. Tigers went through fitness test and one-handed catch practice in the first stage of their Asia Cup preparation. The practice camp will run till September 6.
Bangladesh’s Asia Cup squad is scheduled to depart for Dubai on September where they will launch their Asia Cup campaign on September 15 against Sri Lanka. Bangladesh already named their 15-man Asia Cup squad.
