‘Celluloid e Bangabandhu’

15 August, 1975, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman- the architect of this country’s independence was assassinated along with most of his family members in his own residence. With remembrance to this grievous incident Dhaka University Film Society (DUFS) and Bangladesh Film Archive jointly organise ‘Celluloid e Bangabandhu’ today and tomorrow.

The two-daylong programme includes exhibition of infographics and artworks on Bangbandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Rare videographs/films of historical importance, recorded on various stages of Bangabandhu’s life will be screened at TSC auditorium.

Different films/ videographs including Shadhin Banglay phire elen Bangabandhu, Chironjeeb Bangabandhu, Bangabandhu’s speech in United Nations, Mujibnagar Government, Arms Surrender of Freedom Fighters, Bangabandhu and Bangladesh,  Bangabandhu’s Japan Tour, Tomar e houk joy, Bisshwoshobhay Bangladesh, Great Reception in Delhi, India, Esho Desh Gori, 7 March speech of Bangabandhu, Rahman, the father of Bengal will be screened in the programme.

Programme Schedule: Infographics/Artworks Exhibition: 11:00 am – 08:00 pm.

Film screening sessions (both days): 11:00 am-1:00 pm; 02:00 pm-4:00 pm; 05:00 pm-8:00 pm . Venue: TSC auditorium
