Bangladesh secure draw in Qatar friendly

Bangladesh National Football Team, currently undergoing a training camp in Qatar, played a warm-up match against Mesaimeer Football Club of Qatar on Wednesday.

The boys in red and green are training ahead of their SAFF Championship 2018 and as part of their preparation the friendly match was held where they secured a 1-1 draw against the Qatar’s club.

Al Habib of Mesaimeer put their team ahead in 26th minute utilising a corner kick.

Bangladesh created three chances in the first half and four in the second. Despite creating several chances, Bangladesh couldn’t find the net until Shakhawat Rony scored the equaliser the in 81th minute.

The 28 booters will return home today with their head coach Jamie Day. The team will leave the country for South Korea on July 30 where they will play preparatory matches against local clubs.

The selected footballers will travel to Jakarta, Indonesia from South Korea where they will compete in the Asian Games, scheduled to take place from August 18.
