Drowned girl body recovered from Meghna

BRAHMANBARIA: The body of a female student of a private university, who along with another mate went missing while taking bath in Meghna River at Char Sonarampur on Saturday, was recovered from rail bridge area in Ashuganj upazila on Sunday morning, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Sanzida Binte Tanvir, 21, a student of Computer Science and Engineering department of Notre Dame University in the city.

Badrul Alam Talukder, officer-in-charge of Ashuganj Police Station, said seven students of the private university went on a boat journey at Char Sonarampur on Saturday.

At one stage, two students-Sanzida and Ishrak alias Mehrab, 20 -- went missing in the river while taking bath in the evening.
