JASHORE: A Dhaka court on Thursday sentenced a female upazila chairman to six years imprisonment in a case over amassing wealth worth Tk 1.78 crore illegally and concealing information in her wealth statement, reports UNB.

The convict is Sabira Sultana, chairman of Jhikargachha upazila and a member of BNP’s national executive committee. The court also fined her Tk 5,000.
