‘no’ dividend

AB Bank Chairman MA Awal presides over the 36th annual general meeting of the bank at International Convention City Bashundhara in the capital on Sunday.

The board of directors of AB Bank proposed ‘no dividend’ for the year 2017 which was unanimously approved by the shareholders at the 36th AGM of the bank at International Convention City Bashundhara on Sunday.

The meeting elected Barrister Khairul Alam Choudhury and re-elected Feroz Ahmed and Md. Mesbahul Haque as directors of the bank, said a press release.

The AGM also adopted directors’ report, auditor’s report, audited financial statements, and appointment of SF Ahmed & Co as its Chartered Accountants for the year 2018.

AB Bank Limited completed its 36th year of its operation on April 12, 2018.

The Net Asset Value (NAV) of the bank stood at Tk 2,277 crore and Total Asset of the Bank stood at Tk 31,456 crore in 2017.

MA Awal, Chairman of the board of directors of the bank, chaired the AGM.

Directors and President and Managing Director Moshiur Rahman Chowdhury were also present.

A large number of shareholders took part in the AGM.
