CHATTOGRAM: Law enforcers arrested 22 people, including 10 adolescents, in connection with three sensational murder cases from different areas in the port city, Feni and Cumilla districts on Tuesday night and Wednesday.
The killings took place in the city’s different areas within a span of two days after the Eid-ul-Fitr.Of the arrestees, the adolescents were arrested in Suman murder case, five in Md Anik and seven others in Jasim Uddin.
Mentionable, miscreants stabbed Md Suman, 17, to death when he along with his two friends was returning to residence after watching movie at a cinema hall in the city’s Halishahar area on Sunday night, day after the Eid-Ul-Fitr.
The miscreants also looted mobile phone sets and cash money from the victims.
Moreover, Juba League activist Md Anik, 26, was stabbed to death allegedly by his opponent group centring a trivial matter in the city’s Chatteshawari Morr area on the same day night.
Meanwhile, another Jasim Uddin, 18, was also stabbed to death allegedly by his friend Mubarak over transaction of money between them in Moidar Mill area under the city’s Bakolia police station on Monday night.
Deputy Commissioner (DC-Bandar Zone) Mohammad Shahidullah of Detective Branch (DB) of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) said they arrested the 10 adolescents in connection with the killing of Suman from different spots of Halishahar area after conducting drives since 1:00am to 8:00am on Wednesday.
