Banker found dead at Ctg residence

CHATTOGRAM: Slaughtered body of a banker was recovered from his rented house in the city’s Saltgola area on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Sajal Nandy, 48, son of late Sadhan Nandy of Boalkhali upazila in the district.

Sajal was cashier of Rupali Bank Saltgola Crossing branch and had been living with her wife at the residence in the area under Bandar police station. The couple has a son, who has been studying at a school in the capital staying at a relative’s house. 

Sources said the victim was asleep while his wife, an NGO worker, left the residence for her office at around 7:30am on Sunday.

Neighbours noticed slaughtered body of the banker lying on floor through window of the residence at around 8:30am, they said.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC-Port Zone) Arefin Jewel of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) told the daily sun that on information, they rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
