Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) summoned Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police Mizanur Rahman to appear before the commission on May 3 for allegedly amassing illegal wealth.

Following a graft allegation, ACC sent the notice on Wednesday signed by commission deputy director Farid Ahmed Patwari, who is investigating the allegation of illegal wealth against DIG Mizan.

In the notice, ACC asked Mizan to appear at ACC headquarters in the capital’s Segunbagicha at 10:00am  for facing interrogation over his ‘illegal wealth’.

Scrutinizing the graft allegation on February 10, ACC appointed Farid Ahmed as investigation officer for carrying out an investigation against DIG Mizan.

ACC official said DIG Mizan amassed a huge amount of illegal money through corruption including lobbying, appointment and transfer abusing his power.
