The Franco-Iranian singer Ariana Vafadari to perform at a musical concert titled ‘An Evening of Gathason’ at the Experimental Theater Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the capital’s Segun Bagicha area on February 217 at 6.30 pm.
Celebrated Franco-Iranian singer Ariana Vafadari, as a part of her world tour, will perform in Dhaka.
Based in Paris, Vafadari — a mezzo-soprano — has performed in notable opera roles, concerts as well as international festivals.
The profound connection she feels with her Iranian roots has brought out remarkable renditions of 3,700-year-old Gathas, the sacred hymns attributed to Zoroaster which are the most ancient texts of the Avesta.
Vafadari will perform her musical pieces with accompaniments by Haroun Teboul, Habib Meftah Boushehri, Mohamed Hafsi, and Julien Carton. Interested persons will register by sending their name and mobile number at firstname.lastname@example.org by February 22.
