BNP leader Dudu sent to jail

A Dhaka court on Tuesday sent BNP vice-chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu to jail in a violence case filed with Ramna Police Station in the capital.

Metropolitan Magistrate AKM Moinuddin Siddique passed the order rejecting his bail petition after Sub-Inspector Sudip Kumar Gosh, also investigation officer of the case, produced him before the court seeking order to send him to jail.

Earlier, police arrested Shamsuzzaman Dudu from Segunbagicha area in the capital on Monday while he was returning home.
