The shooting of ‘Race 3’ had to be stalled after gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's armed men barged on to the sets of the film. Few days back, Bishnoi issued death threats to Salman Khan when the actor was in Jodhpur for the blackbuck shooting case.
Police personnel arrived on the set of ‘Race 3’ sets and asked the superstar to go home as soon as possible. Six policemen escorted Salman to his home and he was asked to maintain a low profile. The police has asked Salman not to ride a bicycle on the roads and maintain a low profile. "This is not the first time a threat has been issued against Salman or a member of his family, and the actor is often spotted about town without security or even his bodyguard, Shera, but anticipating an unprecedented attack, he has been asked to be extra safe," a senior police office revealed.
Confirming the new to The Indian Express, Salman's father Salim Khan said, "I don’t know the exact details about when he left the sets, I do know that there were some threats. But Salman has a good team of security personnel. This is not the first time that he is getting such threats. In this industry, people keep getting such threats a lot."
Salim saab further said, "See, when CID or Crime Branch Or the Government gets a message (of any untoward kind), they act fast and inform the local police."
Added Salim Saab, "I don't think we should make a big deal about this because this would only give publicity (to the whole gangster). Such things have happened to other big stars as well in the past. But yes, we have to be careful and take all the necessary precautions."
Earlier, the Mumbai tabloid had quoted a source as saying, "The police arrived at the Race 3 set in Film City and told Salman and producer Ramesh Taurani that the shoot had to be stopped immediately as the actor needed to head home as soon as possible. Salman was escorted in another car by six cops, while his own car was driven back to his residence by another group of cops." —Bollywood Mantra
