SYLHET: The rail communication between Sylhet and the rest of the country resumed on Wednesday afternoon after a suspension of two and half an hours following the derailment of a passenger train in Shibbari area of South Surma upazila, reports UNB.
Sylhet Railway Station master Shahidul Islam said a bogie of ‘Jalalabad Express’ train from Chittagong veered off the tracks around 12:30pm, halting the train communion on Sylhet-Dhaka and Sylhet-Chittagong routes.
The rail link was restored around 3pm after a relief train salvaged the derailed bogie, he said.
