BENAPOLE: Three Bangla-deshi youths returned home on Tuesday after serving three-year jail term in an Indian prison, reports UNB.
Indian BSF handed over them to BGB camp at Benapole.
The returnees are Raihan Gazi, 15, son of Rashid Gazi, Ananda Shil, 13, son of Gobindo Shil and Sabuj Gain, 14, son of Sunil Gain. All of them hailed from Kotalipara in Gopalganj.
Nazrul Islam, officer-in-charge of Benapole BGB Camp, said the three youths illegally entered the Indian territory through Jessore border points three and half years back in search of good job.
Later, Indian police arrested them from Delhi town.
A case was filed against them and an Indian court sentenced them to three-year imprisonment each for illegally crossing the border and sent them to Delhi Central Jail.
On completion of their jail term, a NGO took them from jail.
Later, the Indian government has sent them to Bangladesh.
