‘Public service delivery needs dynamism’

RAJSHAHI: Speakers at a function here stressed the need for taking innovative idea to bring dynamism to public services including the banking ones, reports BSS.

The observation came on Thursday afternoon in the concluding session of a five-day training course arranged for Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) officials.

RAKUB organized the training titled “Innovation in Public Services” at Ashrai Research and Training Centre in association with Access to Information (A2I) Programme of Prime Minister’s Office.

Some 30 RAKUB officials took part in the training course.

Commissioner of Rajshahi division Nur-Ur-Rahman and Deputy Commissioner Helal Mahmud Sharif addressed the session as the chief and special guests respectively with RAKUB General Manager Khandaker Golam Mostofa in the chair.

Deputy Managing Director Fazlul Haque, General Manager Younus Ali, Deputy General Manager Mijanur Rahman and Additional Deputy Commissioners Md Shalahuddin and Sabet Ali also spoke.

Nur-Ur-Rahman said the present government has adopted multifarious programmes for reaching the e-services to the grassroots people.

He said all the bankers should discharge their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty.

They should also be familiarized with the e-services and digitization process.

Rahman said the ongoing digitization process has created scope of employment and income generation in various ways including outsourcing, selling products through e-shop and offering different services.
