‘Int’l Army Games’

Bangladesh Army team have participated for the first time in ‘International Army Games 2017’, which was held in Kazakhstan from July 29 to August 12, 2017.


Bangladesh Army secured 7th position in ‘Sniper Frontier’ discipline among the 17 countries.


Bangladesh Army 13 personnel went to participate in the competition. Among those, there were three observers, team manager, team coach and eight participants. Four officers and four other ranks have participated in the competition.


The competition was arranged with various exercises which demanded extreme physical fitness with high efficiency in firing in different conditions.


Kazakhstan earned top place whereas Russia and China jointly became second in the competition.


Sniper Frontier contest is designed for snipers which is a combination of both firing from varied ranges and different obstacle crossing.


A total of 17 countries participated in the competition. These are Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Venezuela, Belarus, Bangladesh, Iran, Azerbaijan, Zimbabwe, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, India, Kyrgyzstan, Greece, South Africa and Thailand.


The Republic of Kazakhstan hosted three disciplines namely ‘Sniper Frontier’, ‘Masters of Artillery Fire’ and ‘Drone Competition’.
